DECEMBER GRAB & GO MEAL SCHEDULE  

December Meal Service Schedule 
Tuesday, December 1, Wednesday, December 2, and Friday, December 4
Monday, December 7, Wednesday, December 9, and Friday, December 11
Monday, December 14, Wednesday, December 16, and Friday, December 18
Monday, December 21 and Wednesday, December 23 (5x meals)

South Mountain MS, Central, Sheridan, Ramos will be open from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
All other schools
 will be open from 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM. 

In December, students will be given 2 meals each day and 3 meals on Fridays for the weekend. 

NEW: BUS ROUTE INFORMATION
Bus delivery routes will begin Wednesday, December 2. Three delivery routes will visit sites on the South East, South West, and North East side of the city. Click here for delivery locations and times.

NOVEMBER ATTENDANCE CHALLENGE

In the month of November, SMMS is having an attendance contest! Each student who has less than 3 absences in the month of November will earn 15 Virtual SMART Cash! Each student will also have a chance to win a $20 gift card of their choice to a restaurant, a video game or Barnes & Nobel in a raffle! One student per grade will be chosen to win a gift card. **Students must be on time and present in ALL classes throughout the school day (1 late or missed class = 1 absence). Students that are late or absent more than 3 times will NOT earn SMART cash or a raffle ticket.


AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS

21st Century is back and accepting applications! The program runs Monday - Thursday from 3:30pm-6:30pm via Zoom. They provide tutoring services and homework help. They also offer local enrichment providers in Science, Art, Physical Fitness, Mental Health, and Self-Care programming.

South Mountain Middle School is one of 4 middle schools located in the city of Allentown. 
The richness of The Allentown School District's diversity is strengthened by its central role in educating our students for America's future through academic excellence and celebrating the culturally responsive, athletic and artistic range of talent in the schools. ASD students originate from 51 countries and speak 26 languages. There are twenty-five academic buildings throughout the City. 

During the 2016-2017 school year, the district enrolled 16,628 students across 15 Elementary & Early Childhood Centers (7,976), 4 Middle Schools (3,421) and 3 High Schools (5,231).  The Allentown School District has 2,429 personnel.

89.1% of our families are denoted as Low Income, and 100% receive Free/Reduced Lunch.  ASD is the third largest urban school system out of 500 Districts in the Commonwealth and serves a community with a poverty rate of 38.64% of the City's population. (2013 Census).
